Capsule Wardrobe Fall/ Winter: Creating a Full Week of Outfits
In last week's post about accessories I didn't include makeup, though maybe I should have. I've really been enjoying this pallet by Zoeva called "Caramel Melange".
Monday
I'm also wearing jeans & plain black oxfords, but how boring is that? I mean, clearly these earrings are the star of the outfit. Reclaim your Monday and feel more powerful-- wear snake jewelry and gold eyeshadow!
Tuesday
A simple, cozy outfit: I layered a black cotton dress under my bishop's sleeve cardigan and paired it with low black heels and opal studs. The heels may have been quickly replaced by fuzzy slippers once errands were done.
Wednesday
Same black, cotton dress layered with a stripey sweater & matching burgundy leather jacket & heels.
Thursday
Lovely, soft, flannel-y pants, royal blue cashmere sweater, moonstone & citrine earrings, carmel-colored low heels & grabbed my navy handbag for quick trip to the post office. Then, back home to finish some decorating and gift-wrapping.
I layered a pink long-sleeved tee under the sweater. It's finally getting chilly!
This is the "Teddy Boy" pallet from Butter London. I used Simon as a base, then layered Rupert & Mick (who is metallic) & finished with blue liner. Here's a slightly better picture with my glasses off.
Ooooo. This one's for me! |
Friday
For a weekend in the mountains, my green wide-leg pants, brown velvet blouse, & cardigan. Acorn necklace (natch) & opal studs to complete the look.
Saturday
Coffee in the backyard. I layered my 'wildwood' print dress & a super-cozy balloon sleeve sweater.
Sunday
Green wide-leg trousers with layered pink t-shirt & burgundy tartan sweater.
A full week of outfits, done!
