My 1930s "T-shirt"
Over the Labor Day weekend I decided to try and draft a casual 1930's blouse inspired by this blogpost by Sewing Vintage.
I omitted the slits at the neckline, figuring I could add a scarf afterward. It is an incredibly simple pattern that I think I managed to mess up by enlarging the size. To be fair, I followed the directions. This is the end result.
As you can see, I didn't cut it down enough. It's still bizarrely baggy. I have to say, without the belt it looks a bit like scrubs. With the belt, it looks alright though--if slightly erring towards the 1980s. I think when its tucked into the intended skirt or high-waisted pants it should do as a casual pullover blouse template.
